Karma Wilson’s picture book Mama Always Comes Home is an excellent treat for working mothers and children to share. With illustrations from Brooke Dyer, the book explores the nuances of motherhood in animals such as watercolor renditions of a mother bird coming home to his nests.

Working mothers can use this book to spend more quality time for their children and it can inspire them to come home early and devote more time at home.

Child separation anxiety is a testy feeling for toddlers. Most of the time they cannot understand why their mothers have to leave home. With this book, working moms can make their child realize that leaving home sometimes does not mean they are not being loved.

Although it could be better if the father is mentioned more prominently in the book than just a single mention, this book gives an artistic interpretation of the relationship of mothers and children.
