The son of the first liver transplant writes: “I am Melvinder Singh, Son of Surinder Kaur. My mother was the very first to undergo a liver transplant in Asia. All thanks to Doctor Lim, the transplant was a successful one. On top of that, Doctor also discovered that my mother was pregnant, Dr Lim took care of my mother day and night during her pregnancy till she delivered me in 1996.Dr Lim has never charge my mother any fees. On top of that Dr Lim has supported me with 2 bursary awards to help with my education. She is still taking care of my mother until now. Me and my mother will always be on her side”.
