Early Childhood Education

Posted on 06 May 2009

Perhaps there is nothing as pivotal in child development than early child education. Because children are such impressionable blank CDs, what parents teach them in the early going will contribute a lot in their development as adults.

Just what is the official age range which qualifies for early child education? The National Association for the Education of Young Children or the NAEYC states that this important phase in the development of children goes from birth to eight years of age.

To some people, early child education concerns daycare and pre-school programs. But parents have the most significant role in the empowerment of children.

The first important milestone in the development of children is their understanding of who they are. Because the family is the first set of people the child gets to interact with, the child normally absorbs the nuances of the family members - including how they should interact with other people and how they see themselves. This is why parents should be careful in choosing babysitters and caretakes as the situation demands it.
